Cynthia L. Nims, President, Family Legacy Partners, Inc.
Financial Advisor

After 12 years as a small business owner, Cynthia began her career as a financial advisor in 1992 at A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc. She established Family Legacy Partners, Inc. in 2012 as an independent investment and advisory firm that delivers the high-touch client service and disciplined portfolio management that is the hallmark of her practice.

Cynthia earned her M.A. from Vermont College of Norwich University. She served on the Board of Brattleboro Area Hospice from 2011 to 2017, and is a former long-term Board Member and Chair of the Wells Educational Trust.  She lives in Greenfield, MA.

 

 

Shelley A. Rogers, Vice President, Operations

Shelley joined Cynthia Nims at A.G. Edwards & Sons, Inc. in 2005, having worked in retail banking since 1997. She was instrumental in creating Family Legacy Partners, Inc., which opened in 2012.  As Vice President of Operations, she serves as the administrative liaison for the firm’s clients. She holds the Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.

A life-long resident of the Pioneer Valley, Shelley lives in Northampton with her husband and son.

 

 

 

 

Laura Townes, Financial Advisor

Laura joined Family Legacy Partners, Inc., in May 2018, after 20 years in non-profit development and educational administration. Her interest in finance emerged from her work with organizations creating long-term, sustainable financial plans, and with donors crafting giving plans that sustained organizational priorities and achieved their charitable and personal goals. She now works with individuals and families to create and manage investment portfolios that reflect their values and priorities and fund their legacies.

Laura earned her B.A. at Smith College in Northampton, MA, and has been a resident of the Pioneer Valley for more than 30 years. She holds the Series 7 General Securities, Series 66 Uniform Combined State Law, life and health insurance licenses. She lives with her family in Greenfield, MA.
